SUCCESS IS HIDING HERE
Many of us search for success all our lives. We may pursue a different career, business, relationship, friends, or colleagues in our search for it. Maybe we have read multiple books on different topics like investing, real estate, the stock market, or career changes. If you are an athlete, you may have spent hours that turned in to days, weeks, months and years, training to compete at the highest level. After searching for may years, I found where success has always been hidden. In fact, it was always right in front of my face.
When I was young, I never gave success a second thought. Don’t get me wrong, I wanted to be successful. But success at that time just meant a paycheck and the ability to support myself. Eventually, like most people, I realized that isn’t success. That’s what the average person wants. It’s a base line; a starting point. Success is much more than that.
Deep within each of us, we have a burning desire. It’s just below the surface. It’s part of every major decision and each minor decision you have ever made. Perhaps you can verbalize it, or perhaps you can’t. But if you take some quiet time with yourself, it will rise to the surface. You may even come to realize that it has been driving you to where you are today; like it or not. It’s the reason each of us is here. The reason for our individual existence. It’s also the clear pathway to true success. It’s out higher purpose.
When we pursue our higher purpose, we find our happiness, our joy, our ultimate achievement. And in the end, success.
I believe this sums it up perfectly:
The Creator gathered all of Creation and said;
“I want to hide something from the humans until they are ready for it. It is the realization that they create their own reality.”
The eagle said, “Give it to me. I will take it to the moon.” The Creator said, “No. One day they will go there and find it.”
The salmon said, “I will bury it on the bottom of the ocean.”
The Creator said, “No. They will go there, too.”
The buffalo said, “I will bury it on the Great Plains.”
The Creator said, “They will cut into the skin of the earth and find it even there.”
Grandmother Mole, who lives in the breast of Mother Earth, and who has no physical eyes but sees with spiritual eyes, said “Put it inside of them.”
And the Creator said, “It is done.”

If not, what are you pursuing?
When you are gone, will your epitaph read “here lies ‘____’ along with their dream, goals, aspirations, and success?” Or will your success live on beyond you? Will your higher purpose reach so far and wide that it that creates ripple effects that span generations?
You deserve it. You ARE worth it!
